Day 2

Subject: What are Facebook ads, [firstname], and why should you care?

Hi [firstname],

What are Facebook ads and why should you care?

Facebook ads are (as the name would imply) ads that appear on the social media platform Facebook. There are various types and different places you can put them. More about that in a few days time.

The great thing about Facebook ads is they are Pay Per Click (PPC). Unlike taking out a classified ad in a newspaper or magazine where you pay up front and hope your ad attracts your prospects' attention with PPC you only pay when somebody actually clicks on your ad. That means if nobody clicks on your ad, you don't pay anything.

Pretty neat, eh?

Exactly how much you pay per click is largely dependent on how popular your niche is, but it can be as low as a few cents per click.

You can also advertise on Instagram this way, as that platform was acquired by Facebook back in 2012.

A few stats

Two BILLION people use Facebook every month

One in every five minutes spent on a smartphone in the US is spent on Facebook or Instagram.

FIVE HUNDRED MILLION Instagrammers use the app every day.

There were 1.37 billion active daily Facebook users on average for September 2017, an increase of 16% year-over-year.

And

50% of 18-24 year-olds log on Facebook when they wake up. (Source: The Social Skinny) meaning you can target them early and hold their attention all day.

The average time spent on Facebook per visit is 20 minutes. (Source: Infodocket)

Every 60 seconds on Facebook: 510,000 comments are posted, 293,000 statuses are updated, and 136,000 photos are uploaded. (Source: The Social Skinny)

As you can see, there are a LOT of engaged and active users; getting a piece of this action could transform your business overnight.

Warmly,
